Practice manager, Laurie Chen, is busy enough trying to juggle the demands of two doctors, staff and more than 300 patients at Northwestern Neurology Associates (NNA). She doesn’t have time to deal with technology problems – or an IT provider who isn’t responsive to her needs.

So, in December 2010 after disappointing response times and effective problem resolutions from their IT provider, NNA followed the recommendation from Northwestern Memorial Hospital and hired MIS Computer Healthcare.

MIS met with each of the doctors in the practice to identify their needs and ensure all systems worked well together. Because NNA shares practice space with other doctors who utilize EMR and tech services from third parties, it was critical to coordinate and secure their shared internet. Laurie credits MIS for keeping their internet and EMR systems running smoothly, as well as providing secure backup for all of their data.

“MIS has been great. They’re right on it,” Laurie says. “Whenever there’s an issue, they send someone over and the problem is resolved right then and there. That saves me from having to make multiple phone calls to try and fix the problem myself.”
